Sorting tab

Sets the options for sorting the data in tables and parts lists. To learn how you can use these options to format your table or parts list, see the Help topic, Using the Sorting tab.

Sort Criteria

Defines how you want the information arranged in the table. You can select up to three column headings to use as sort criteria. For example, you can specify that you want to arrange the data alphabetically by material name.

Sort by

Specifies which column heading is used as the first sort criteria.

You can select the Assembly Order criteria, which does not correspond to a defined column, to match the order that is shown in Assembly PathFinder.

You can remove all sorting by selecting a blank from the Sort by list.

Ascending

Sorts the data in ascending order. For example, A, B, C, D.

Descending

Sorts the data in descending order. For example, D, C, B, A.

Then by

Specifies the next sort criteria.

Ascending

Sorts the data in ascending order. For example, A, B, C, D.

Descending

Sorts the data in descending order. For example, D, C, B, A.

Then by

Specifies the next sort criteria.

Ascending

Sorts the data in ascending order. For example, A, B, C, D.

Descending

Sorts the data in descending order. For example, D, C, B, A.

Reverse order of entries (bottom to top)

Arranges the information from bottom to top in the table. You should set this option if you attach the table to the bottom edge of your drawing border. You should clear this option if you attach the table to the top edge of your drawing border.
