Align a hole to an existing hole axis

To place the hole on same plane as the existing hole
  1. Choose Home tab→Solids group→Hole .

  2. Pause the cursor over an existing hole.

  3. When the hole edge and center point highlight, press the A key.

  4. As you move the cursor in a direction that is parallel or perpendicular to the green highlighted plane edge and aligned with the existing hole axis, alignment lines display. You can change the plane edge by pressing The N key. Click to place the hole on the plane.

To place the hole on a plane other than the existing hole plane
  1. Choose Home tab→Solids group→Hole .

  2. Pause the cursor over an existing hole.

  3. When the hole edge and center point highlight, press the A key.

  4. Move the cursor over the target face and the alignment lines display. Make sure the target face plane edge (that highlights in green) is parallel to the alignment direction. Use the N key to toggle through the face edges. Click to place the hole.
